Spring into your new fashion step…THE MAXI SKIRT

Spring is almost here and so I am flirting around with the idea of maxi skirts and midi skirts, a lot of the Spring runways were sporting them from all the big names such as Jil Sander, Ellie Saab and Alexander McQueen to name but a few. The length of these skirts helps to elongate any height and is derived from the nature theme predicted for S/S 11 and so creates the waterfall look. I have always been interested in the flows of the skirts and how they can brighten up any look and so here are a few looks off the runway …

Jil Sander

Ellie Saab                                                                                                       Alexander McQueen

So for my budget I obviously can’t afford these amazing dresses so I decided to scour the high street on the internet to find some similarities as the beatiful pieces on the runway.

Asos has a surprisingly large amount to offer and these are 4 of my favourites to choose from. Prices varied from £29.99 to £45 which is very reasonable for a student on a limited price range.

TOPSHOP.com With prices from £38 ranging to £40

ZARA UK This camel skirt was £59.99.

H&M for around £20.

American Apparel with a price range from £35 to £52
