Golden Braids

There are tiny blue chinks in the Manchester sky today, and my thoughts turn – optimistically – to Springtime. Having  buried myself in a cloak of dark hair all Winter long, I’m yearning more than ever to throw off the brunette comfort blanket and try something lighter and prettier.

At the Erdem S/S 2011 show, Charles Worthington created the most stunning sunshine hair; golden braids that entwined delicately around models’ heads like halos.

Worthington said:

“We were going for a little bit less structured and a little more fluffy than the way a ballerina would wear her hair. Think nymphs and fairies playing around in an English Garden. The look has a cuteness and a prettiness to it, but with a little bit of edge.”

This is how I want to wear my hair all Summer.. so pretty, and practical too.
